Ceremonies Held to Commemorate Martyr Motahhari

TEHRAN Commemoration ceremonies were held here yesterday to mark the martyrdom anniversary of the late philosopher Morteza Motahhari. The late philosopher was martyred by the terrorist Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO) in 1980. On the same occasion, a large group of teachers and officials attended a ceremony held at the place of Motahhari's martyrdom and laid wreath there. Another ceremony was held at Martyr Motahhari's tomb in the shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom. Speaking at the ceremony, Hojjatoleslam Mesbahi, an instructor in Qom Theology School Referred to personal characteristics of Martyr Motahhari, saying that Motahhari was a unique philosopher who played a crucial role in reviving Islamic values.
